I made this:

But mine looks a little different.  The frame is turquoise.  And the ribbons are hot pink with white polka dots and lime with hot pink polka dots.  And there are different bows on it.  But I did it!  I was so happy.

I have to keep myself busy these next two weeks as I wait to be reunited with my husband in our newly renovated house.  So I am thinking of as many projects I can do before then, so I don't cry :)

The house looks amazing though.  Sean took me down on Sunday to look at the progress so I wasn't depressed about the "one more week" thing that keeps happening every week. (It will be one more week after this week, of course.) It looks so wonderful.  The kitchen is almost finished, and it has formica countertops that look like granite (its so crazy!  I've never seen that kind before) and we have painted all the cabinets white.  There was enough left over to make me a folding table in the laundry room too, which is amazing.  I've never had an actual laundry room before, I am so excited.  The trim in the house is painted white, and the wood paneling is painted a soft but really nice brown.

Needless to say, I can't wait to move in.  Levi is less excited, but he'll adjust :)

Kids Rooms

So one of the things I am looking forward to the most about our new house is my kids rooms.  I LOVE decorating kids rooms, its super fun.  And nurseries are always fun period.  I don't have a camera that I can find yet, plus all of our stuff is sitting in the garage at our new place, but I did want to share a little sneak peek  of what will be in Big L and Little L's rooms :)

First, here is Lucy's dresser:

As you may notice, if you have had any experience with Levi's nursery, that it is actually HIS old brown and green polka dot dresser.  These are the colors of her room, and we just went to town on it.  We also got her some antique-looking frames from Hobby Lobby in these colors, and I made her a frame with ribbon to hold her hair bows in these colors as well.  Most of the art in her room has owls on it because I think they are just so darn cute!  Mom is even going to paint a white tree on her wall.  Her bedding is being custom made on Etsy because she has a mini crib, and I wasn't loving the sets I could find online.  It will be awesome.  I'm sure.  I will post more pics once we are settled and her room is decorated!  Can't wait!

Now here is what Levi will have in his room:

We have already received it and it is precious.  He said he wanted his room done in trains, so I did my best here.  He will have all new furniture courtesy of my aunt, who gave us all of her sons' old cargo furniture. It is going to look really cute.  Mom even got him a lamp that plays his Ipod :)  Garden Ridge is getting rid of their kids section, so they were selling everything 75% off, so we got him several cute canvas art thingys with trains on them, and he will have a train decal on his wall.  He is so super pumped, it's ridiculous.

And lastly, a cute little picture of Lucy's baby book.  Had to go with the owl theme :)

Soooo, our really old house in Whitney is not ready yet, and so while my husband is working hard down in Hill County, Levi and I are still living it up with my parents in Fort Worth.  And I've decided that being a single mom is really hard.  Being a mom PERIOD is really hard, much less a PREGNANT mom to a very active toddler.  But doing it by myself while my husband lives an hour a way is no fun.

So all I have to do to distract myself is spend all my time either on Pinterest, or buying stuff that I saw on Pinterest.  I already pretty much have everything I need to decorate Levi's room and Baby Lucy's room, and I'm working on the rest of the house.  Mostly organization since those of you who know Sean and I know that we are probably the least organized people in the world.  And with TWO kiddos at home, I can't handle that.  I need some structure, people!

But I have done some fun decorating stuff too, like make 2 wreaths, one for spring/summer, and one for fall. They are awesome, if I do say so myself.  I will try and post some pictures of everything I'm talking about asap, if I can find where we packed the camera and cord.

And I'm sure I will be posting another sad post about how they added two more weeks to our move in date soon.  It seems that at the end of every two weeks, they add at least another week.  Stupid old houses built in 1945 and all of their problems!  Grrrrr!
